Which raises the interesting question, given free will, given that, by at least one view, one is damned because one chose it, do they perceive it as hell? As Milton has Satan say,

As tempting as reigning may be, I have no desire to be in Hell to do so.

Moses could not look at God directly or he would not have survived it.
After Moses had spent time with God his face shone so much that he had to cover his face when addressing the people.
These instance infer to me that whatever heaven is like, the intensity of our experiences there will be so much greater that they can not be compared to anything we know here.
