They totaled John's mobile home! And wrote him a check on the spot! He has already deposited it! ;) They even wrote him one for possessions as well. Now he has to figure out what his options are, and go from there! Thank you for praying on his behalf!!

That is GREAT!!!

I hope that he takes his time to figure out what is best for him. I also imagine that the prices are a bit inflated in the area right now because so many people are looking to replace their homes.

Amen, and Amen! I pray now that John will make wise decisions, and trust that he will. 8)

You want to hear something TOTALLY awesome??!!!

Postby stillseeking » Thu Sep 18, 2008 11:02 pm

This evening John was at his place, sorting through stuff, trying to get it somewhat livable again....so he can stay there awhile till he can get other arrangements made.

Much of his stuff is in plastic containers (like Rubbermaid). He was sorting through one that was full of miscellaneous stuff, keepsakes, papers, etc. And to his amazement, he found that most of his most important papers (tax papers, house papers, etc.) were in that box!!! Some of it he doesn't even remember putting in there.........he was positive they were in his filing cabinets (which are under that tree in his bedroom)! There were also some keepsakes in there that he thought for sure he had lost!

Also, most of his clothes have been salvaged, too!!

God is good all the time; all the time God is good!!! It was so fun to hear him exclaiming over all this (he had me on the phone while he was sorting through this stuff! ). He is just totally blown away!!

I'm surprised that no one has removed the tree from his home yet.

It's funny, because when he first told me he thought he lost most of his clothes, I was like, well, how much do you really need, anyway??? LOL But, well, you know, he has to have something to wear to work!!

Well, without ANY clothing, at least he couldn't be fined $500 required by Louisiana law for showing his underwear while having baggy pants.

What keeps those from falling down the rest of the way--like they did on a worker at Walmart? Also, why bother wearing the pants?

The Righteousness of Christ--the ONLY clothing I need.
