Good is Weird, God is Good

Postby Petros » Fri Sep 06, 2013 6:12 pm

So tomorrow morning we set out to pay a visit to Number 1 Son and provide succor in his still unsettlred situation.

So we are in town making last ditch preparations, and Herself, driving, says the brakes feel funny.

They do. Our mechanic guy says, brake hose done go byebye.

2:00 Friday.

He lends us his truck to get home, has it fixed by 4:900.

Praise the Lord. I thanked him lavishly.

Could have been halfway through Nebraska. Could have been in the mountains. Could hjave been an emergency stop.
But our town, our mechanic, and JUST enough timed to get it done.

"Weird" is thinking that just because God helps us one way one time, He'll always do it that way. Ha! He's endlessly creative, and I love His sense of humor and appropriateness. C.S. Lewis once wrote that "God does all things for each." :)

You might not choose the word weeird - as said, in my family it is a compliment, maybe not by you.

But face it - God is NOT mundane, NOT ho hum, less prerdictable than the weather.

Not a TAME lion.

My former stepchildren used to tell me regularly, "Dad, you're weird!" It frustrated them so much when I said, "Thank you!"

Compare BenudeBefree's red pill / blur pill and "the road less travelled"

I wonder if there's any relation between this and "strait is the gate and narrow the way..." :)

What time is 4:900?
The Righteousness of Christ--the ONLY clothing I need.

I would say yes - but i am prejudiced.

I suspect some ways that LOOK well travelled are narrower than we realize.

A VERY precise way of saying 4 o'clock.

It seems so, but it widens out there at the end, said the other lemming.

Always liked lemmings.

They could be called weird.
