New Knee

Postby prairieboy » Fri Sep 02, 2016 3:50 pm

We had a new couple show up at church five weeks ago. They are from a very conservative (legalistic?) denomination and could not make it to their church that Sunday. They had a long talk with the pastor after the service, and Tuesday night they showed up at our prayer meeting. At the end of the meeting he had to struggle to get up from the worn out couch, so several of us prayed for him. He told us that he was on the list for a knee replacement. He had often prayed for one day pain free, just so he could remember what that was like.

That Thursday my pastor called me at work to say that this man had called him to tell him what happened. He had walked out of the church pain free, and with no limp. He had found it amazing that three strangers had prayed for him, while no one in his church ever had.

This Tuesday at prayer meeting he told us that he had also been diabetic. In the last four weeks he had checked his blood sugar levels faithfully, but had not required any medication. Praise God for His goodness.

Yesterday, today, forever, Jesus is the same!

That's awesome! Praise God!

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. (James 5:13-16)

I shall have to pass this one on.

Praise God's Name for dual healing, of body and spirit! Amen.
