My Email address

I need to apologize to everyone that has sent me an email in the past few months. I had a serious problem with my computer and ended up having to rebuild it from scratch. When I was working on the email settings I couldn't get it to work. I worked with our host server and followed his instructions, but it still didn't work.

Today I decided to go over it again and realized that I was making a minor mistake that prevented the emails from coming through. I had set the address as webmaster@cnvillage,org

I had a comma, not a dot, in there. So I've fixed it and now I've got over 1,000 emails to go through. I admit it was my mistake, and I don't want anyone to think I was ignoring your email. Please be patient as I work through them all and correct the problems you're having.

Thank you for your understanding. Chuckling is allowed, but please no gut busting laughter. I feel stupid enough as it is.

If you want people to be able to email you, I'd suggest adding it to your profile. Many boards (and this, I believe is one) will remove any clear text email addresses as they often get trolled by spammers looking for new addresses. There are areas here where that may not be the case but the easiest would be to add your email in the user control panel.

You should probably take the time to read through our TOS (Terms of Service) (here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7).

To specifically answer your question:

8a. Do not post your e-mail address or personal website in a public post or in the signature line. They may be included in your Profile only. (That way, all members can access them from the buttons at the bottom of any of your posts.) Additionally, the Index Page of the website to which you link must clearly show a connection to who you are as a person. E-mail addresses and urls in violation of these rules will be promptly deleted, and you will be advised of such action.
