I think we have pretty much addressed those concerns as baseless on most counts and manageable in the few things that might come up. Prudes don't like this, but our beliefs are protected by the courts, just as any religion should be.

Ramblinman,

Yes, they can be and usually are "baseless". Unfortunately, there are enough "Barney Fifes" out there who can and will cause trouble or find something else to haul our uncovered keisters into court for. Although we may make it out on the other side without a record, in the meantime, lives can be ruined, jobs lost, kids snatched by CPS.

Do we really want to give our blessing to a "ministry" that calls God a pornographer? (after all he created naked humans and more naked babies are born every day).

On this, I agree.

Not all of them are nearly as ineffectual nor such bad shots as Barney, though often well nigh equally ludicrous.

Our lives and that of our children could also be ruined if we live our lives ruled by our fears.
Of course, I don't think that Nathan is living such a life; my comment is merely a general observation...

Wisdom about when to speak up and when to keep silent comes to all of us with time and experience.
The isolation of total silence is not wise either.
The apostle Paul was not rash, but sometimes he spoke boldly when it was at grave personal risk, for the sake of the souls he ministered to, but it was never done in a reckless manner, always by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Seek the Lord daily for more wisdom on such things.

I will be careful and wait upon the Lord Ramblinman. I don't want to cause any problems for me or my family.

I cannot understand, and never will, why those who believe that God created the human could believe that He is offended by His creation. Textiles, of course, generally consider most (if not all) nudity to be sexual.

Although I am nude 24/7 most days, I am not COMPELLED to be nude; I CHOOSE to be nude whenever the weather allows me to be. Clothes serve absolutely NO purpose when the weather is warm enough not to wear them.

I do laundry once a month, and about every three months I manage to come up with enough clothing items (mostly T-shirts and shorts that I wear outside the resort) for one load for the laundry. Otherwise, my laundry most months consists of only bedding, towels, and white socks that I wear during my daily 3-mile nude walk.
The Righteousness of Christ--the ONLY clothing I need.

Jon-Marc - on my wife point of view, thanks to the media and society in general she does not feel happy with her body. This of course is causing her not to embrace nudity and not willing to go to a resort. She even told me that she covers up in the gym locker room.

I feel it comes from years of indoctrination from both church and media that states nudity=sex so cover up.

"She even told me that she covers up in the gym locker room. "

So did I, so would I today. The locker room, at least the locker room as I have known it, is NOT a naturist venue. You have a mixed bag, some who are at ease with their own nudity and others', some who are quite uncomfortable, some who seize the opportunity to act out impacting others.

A naturist venue is not the only place where an example of confidence can benefit others.
If you show your comfort with nudity at the doctor's office, at the locker room, you will set a good example for others to follow. Let's light the way forward!

Each as the spirit moves. The doctor's office has never been me an issue vis a vis nudity, and even in days of yore in the park the issue was almost exclusively the odds of interfacing with the authorities. But the gym and some related sites are places I do not care to be in any costume.

It sounds as if you have had some unpleasant experiences there. If so, that is a sentiment I can understand from my own experience. I have no particular fondness for that venue myself but I was rather wondering about your choice of the phrase "some who seize the opportunity to act out impacting others." I wonder how many others of us have experience with this. and how it has changed over the years as I have not been there in decades and I wonder how it may have changed in today's society..
I never met anyone that I could not learn something from.

I was not at that moment speaking of my lowlife Texas teacher - an unpleasant enough experience.

More of the towel snappers, the ostentatiously nude marching, the coarse quippers.

Promise me a locker room full of people for whom nudity does not equate with showing off [my famil's term] where I can just be and as occasion arises converse sanely, I'll be fine.

I'm sure that locker rooms - even high school locker rooms - do vary.

Petros, they do vary! You have reason to hope for a better experience somewhere else.

You seem like the quiet sort of guy who does not deserve to be "snapped". You are paying good money for an uneventful time in the locker room, so are entitled to help from management when the gay caballeros are disturbing the peace, particularly one's own tranquility.

From my high school files:

locker room A : not too aversive, but totally unsupervised.

Locker room B : more aversive and "supervised" - by the would have been in later years touchy-feely staff guy

Locker room C: absolutely NO memories, but whatever it was my attitudes were already established, my defenses up.

Locker rooms at the U are similarly blanked - by me certain years and venues and people are either purged from the drive or are filtered out of the perception stream.

Might well have been otherwise with a different set of schools - maybe aven a different order.
